Motorola’s new handset the Google-powered Droid is likely to be compared to the iPhone. Running Google’s Android OS v2.0 the Droid is both a phone and mobile-computing device. However, there is something lacking in the ‘out of box’ experience due to the richness of all that it carries.
The Droid has voice input throughout the majority of the device, Google maps overlaid on GPS, simplified search option and cloud ability for contacts, documents schedules etc. Though one must remember the recent sidekick-data loss so it is always good to have alternative back-ups for such occasions.
Primary touchscreen it also comes equipped with a qwerty keypad. Multi-tasking and switching between them is a smooth process. Android is lacking in apps at present, but this will certainly increase over time.
