Sony Ericsson Aino hit by software issues

Software problems have hit a second Sony Ericsson handset – the Aino – just weeks after its launch. The Sony Ericsson handset suffers from problems with touch screen interface and the news comes just days after Sony Ericsson pulled its flagship Satio handset after high returns at Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u saw both retailers halt Satio sales. The failure of the beleaugured manufacturer’s two ‘killer’ handsets raises questions over Sony Ericsson’s future, in the face of falling shares and plummeting profits. Both handsets were launched in October, alongside an expensive marketing campaign, in a bid to win back market share in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Nokia N900: Image, Connectivity and Fun

When I read the spec sheets of the new Nokia N900, I do not understand a thing about all the gibberish written in them. But actually using it allows me to tell you what it is and what it does from the mouth of a consumer or user and not from the technical people of Nokia.
Well then, all I can say is that the N900 is all about image, connectivity and fun.
Image
This rectangular piece actually looks boxy and patently Nokia. However, the resistive touch screen is a sight to behold. Touch screens always never fail to awe onlookers even now that the novelty is almost gone. The size, not too small and certainly not too big, also gives an impression of a technological powerhouse and possessing such device certainly makes heads turn, techie or not.
And more importantly, it is Nokia. With the brand stamped on its face, it sure gives the message that you should be special to deserve such a device from a brand that is known for high-quality and state of the art smart phones and mobile phones.
Connectivity
The spec sheet says that the N900 has great connectivity tools that ensure an always-online mode. But beyond these technical aspects, it pays to be able to access the internet easily for messaging, social networking and information gathering purposes. And the N900 does just that. It also offers one of a kind browsing experience with its Mozilla – powered browser that is capable of displaying websites in full view. It is like you are doing it with your desktop computer. Certainly, the N900 is an amalgamation of a mobile phone and the computer, making this thing a mini-computer actually.
For busy people who feel the need to be always in contact with both professional and personal concerns, the N900 offers a wide range of options to be able to connect. Whether you use it as a phone or a computer, you are sure that you are always on top of things even if you are away from the office or your home.

The Nokia N900 – Computer-Grade Mobile Phone

No one among mobile phone users are surprised with the latest Nokia N900. Eversince the N95 advertisement claiming it to be a computer in your hands, it became clear that Nokia had its sights on imbuing their handsets with desktop-like computing look and feel.

Launched last September in Germany, the phone is expected to hit European markets by the end of November as a contract-free price of ?499.
Outstanding Upscale Features
Bringing PC desktop computing experience on the mobile handset is an uphill challenge for any mobile phone maker. But it can be done, albeit the savvy user just has to contend with the size limitations on handheld gadgets. Nokia has been doing just that starting with the N95 a few years back and now we have the N900 upping the ante with three processors inside its full QWERTY slider
touchscreen body. It is not a slim phone but a rather hefty one with a body measuring 111 x 59.7 x 18.2 mm and weighing a not-so-pocket-friendly 180g.

Browsing and downloading online gets no-wait broadband speeds with its HSDPA/HSUPA data connectivity on the 3G network. · A 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash brings the N900 at the forefront of sophistication among top class camera smartphones in the markets. What’s more is that it uses the Nokia imaging signature of having Carl Zeiss Tessar optics in the camera. Shots can be geo-tagged using its built-in GPS receiver with Ovi Maps. It supports Wide-VGA (800 × 480) resolution video recording at 30fps. There’s a secondary VGA camera for 3G video calls as simpler video recording at a modest 15 fps.
· The N900 has a 3.5-inch resistive touchscreen display with wide VGA resolution and 16 million color depth. While admittedly modest compared with larger screens and capacitive touchscreen technology in other flagship phones, the N900 does the job of displaying excellent images and videos on its wide screen display that tilts when fully slid out.
· The N900 enjoys a generous 1GB ROM for its OS and 32GB of internal storage for user installed
application and files. You can expand that up to another 32GB with its microSD expansion slot.

How to do a Free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup

A free reverse cell phone Lookup has long been something that people search for online. The reason for this is so many calls that come into our cellular handsets are by people that either we don't know or whose numbers are unidentified.
Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service
So, that is left us in the predicament of exactly how to find out who is on the other end of the line.
The first thing that people generally tend to look for is a reverse cell phone directory. This is because, in the past when a situation came up that we needed know who owned a phone number we were able to use a resource such as White pages or another online phonebook. Unfortunately, the same resources that work for are a traditional home telephone number are not viable solutions when it comes to tracing cell phone numbers.
In order to do a reverse cell look up, you need to dig a little bit deeper. There are only a small number of resources available online or off-line that will allow you to find out exactly to a particular number belongs to. In the past, these are the same resources that were only available to private investigators or members of law enforcement.
Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service
However, today anyone with the motivation can access these resources and perform a do-it-yourself investigation in a matter of only a couple of minutes. A good reverse cell phone directory will be able to give you the following information:
1. The owner of the phone numbers name 2. The owner of the numbers address 3. Service provider 4. Service status 5. A complete number report
With the information listed above you should be able to easily solve the question of who a particular number belongs to. There are some things to look for though. One of the main things I look for is the ability to at least do a free initial search, which will let me know whether any type of information is actually maintained on the number that I'm investigating. If no information at all comes back, there is a good chance that that particular number currently is not available to be traced. On the other hand, if the initial surge comes back and tells you that information is available your only a couple seconds away from knowing who owns the phone number.
While resources to do a free reverse cell phone Lookup certainly are not jumping out at you, they are there and available for everyone to use. If you are in a situation where you need to know who owns a phone number save yourself some time and use a reliable cellular directory as an answer to your problems.

How to find people by phone number Locate a long lost friend

Seasons come and seasons go, and before you know it a full year passes, and a new one begins. Time may sometimes seem like it is standing still, but for the most part your busy lifestyle probably keeps you so occupied that you don't count the minutes that pass you by. Thus, it can be very easy to lose track of a good friend you haven't talked to in a while. Therefore, should a circumstance ever arise when you need to locate your friend, you will find tracing their phone number can be very helpful.
Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service
Looking up your friend's phone number can be easily achieved by entering it into a regular search engine. Be sure to enter their full number, which should equal ten digits and includes the area code (first three digits). Why does the area code matter? Without it you will receive more than one result for the same number, because there are only so many numerical combinations; it is the geographical codes that distinguishes telephone numbers and makes them unique.
How should you enter the phone number into the search box? To start, you can choose whatever format you like, but if you want different outcomes you should try diverse variations including:
Hyphens - xxx-xxx-xxxx Spaces - xxx xxx xxxx Dots - xxx.xxx.xxxx No separation - xxxxxxxxxx
Any of the above formats surrounded in quotations
Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service
You may also want to add other relative details to the number as well including:
- The last name of your friend or their full name - Their city or state - Career title - etc.
Don't be afraid to get creative when looking up a number with a search engine.
In addition, you may want to try looking for your friend's phone number with a reverse telephone lookup. Like a search engine, you simply enter the ten digit number into the query box. However, the bonus when using this service is you don't have to worry about receiving overwhelming results of information that is completely unrelated to your friend, because all data provided is taken from a phone directory.
Therefore, if your friend's number is listed in a public phone book, you should find out their location including their street name and number, city, state and zip code. If it is not listed, and belongs to a wireless phone, you will learn their city and state, but nothing more in regard to their location. Understand, you can be given the residential address related to a private number, but you will be required to pay for it.

Finding Old Friends Using Reverse Phone Lookups

Reverse phone lookups are a great way to find out who owns a phone number, but they are also an excellent way to locate a friend. The reason is this people finder service does not just give the name of the person who owns the number; it also provides an address or general location information such as the state and city. Thus, a backwards number trace is often recognized as being one of the best places to start your search for finding old friends.
Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service
How should you start your investigation if you are attempting to locate a friend by tracing their phone number? Log on to the Internet, call up your favorite search engine, and enter "free reverse phone number lookup" into the query box. You will receive various results. Choose at least three of the sites that are returned, and seek out the information you are looking for on each.
Why should you use more than one free lookup? Although it is unlikely you will find different information, especially when using a free reverse search service, it is possible that one site may provide you with more data than another. Moreover, you may discover that details found on one website do not match those provided by another. For instance, info such as the phone carrier may be withheld and the company offering the reverse search may only reveal it if you pay.
What information should I expect to find for free? The name (typically last name and first initial) of the owner, their residential address, state, city, zip code, phone carrier and phone type (I.E. business or
home phone). Keep in mind significant details (I.E. name and address), are only returned for landline phone numbers that are listed in public directories and is not the data you would receive for numbers of a private nature, such as cellular phones.

How will I know if my friend's number belongs to a landline or a wireless phone? If you are not sure what type of telephone number you have, which can happen if the contact details of the person is dated, or you have received the information from someone else, simply use a reverse phone number lookup that includes mobile numbers in its database.
Enter the 10-digits (this includes the three digit area code) of the number into the designated query box and search. Depending on the details that are returned, you will find your answer as to whether the telephone number belongs to a cell or a traditional wire line. If it turns out to belong to a cellphone, you will need to use a paid lookup to find your friend's location details, or continue with your attempt to look them up for free with a general search engine.

How to do a Free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup

Free reverse cell phone lookup is what thousands of people are looking for online. There are many reasons why people wanted to trace a cell phone number. And they are all equally important. But the best way, is not always the free way. You will eventually get nothing for nothing, and you'll lose a lot of time doing nothing. To get the proper and complete information that you are after, you obviously have to pay. Let's look into why you should pay...

Firstly there are no free reverse cell phone lookup services, if there are such site claims that, and you happen to believe it, chances are they eventually lead you to the most expensive service that can do this for you, but not the best. You might be better off using the best that also gives a reasonable rate.
There is a popular method of doing a lookup on a cell phone number, by using the search engine. I won't go further details about this, cause I'm sure you already know about this, and probably tried it and failed. The reason why this method almost always does not work is because it takes an awfully a lot of time to do, and you need all the leprechauns luck and all the rabbits foot to get the information you need. This is a major time waster.

A lot of people think that the paid method is an alternative to those of above which I explained. To me it isn't. This is the main method to do a reverse cell phone lookup, the others are the alternative, which does not come close to the effectiveness of a paid service.
So why do you need to pay?
Can you imagine how many cell phone numbers are out there? Every person on the country has at least one cell phone number. Even a 4 year old child has one. Cell phone numbers are increasing every year, more and more people are using more than one cell phone number. That is a lot of numbers. So to maintain such a large volume of information in one database obviously requires a lot of effort and a considerable amount of resources. The database not only contains cell phone numbers, but each of that numbers contains complete information of the owner and every household member they have. So you can understand how enormous this database is, and it requires money to operate.

How to Trace a Cell Phone Location

Before you learn how to trace the owner of a cell phone it may be worthwhile to look at some of the reasons such a search may be necessary. There are many, but I am going to discuss just a few of the most common. I am quite certain you will have your own specific reasons for doing a cell lookup, too.

Perhaps you are going over your monthly phone statement when you notice a particular number that keeps showing up over and over on your teenage daughter's cell phone. She seems to be getting calls from this number at odd hours, usually between 1am and 3am. The calls are short and seem to come in bunches, just a few minutes apart. Is she being harassed, or worse yet, stalked by someone she is unfamiliar with? While it could be just innocent teenage fun, as a parent, wouldn't you want to be sure?
Maybe the same phone statement reveals a string of numbers to your spouse's phone. It is not a number you recognize, and they, too, seem to come in the middle of the night. Hopefully it is innocent, but could it be a little monkey business on the side? Many clandestine affairs can be discovered because of careless phone calls. Catching an unfaithful partner may be the most popular reason for wanting to know how to trace the owner of a cell phone.
Prank callers use cell phone because they used to be safe from identification. Pranksters are smart. They know their cell phone numbers are not part of public domain, and, therefore, cannot be Googled for any reliable identifying information. Thankfully, the tide has turned!

There is now an extremely reliable way of tracing the owner of a cell phone. It is by use of a reverse cell phone lookup service such as Reverse Phone Detective or Phone Number Scan. These companies have comprehensive data bases for all phone numbers, cellular and land line, including unlisted numbers. For a very reasonable membership fee, usually less than $50 lifetime, you can do as many reverse searches as you need.
Here is how it works. You simply log in to the membership area and enter the phone number in question. Within seconds you will be supplied with the owner's name, street address, city, state and zip code. With all that information you will now know who is calling your teen or spouse in the middle of the night. You will know who keeps calling your phone with harassing or prank calls. Check out the unknown name calls left on your caller ID.
There are many reasons for wanting to trace the owner of a cell phone. Thanks to a few companies that recognized the need, the technology is now available to make it happen.

We reverse cell phone numbers look up to user name and address

Reverse phone number listings can be found in many different places. And the most popular place where people go to for reverse phone number services is the web. Aside from reverse phone directories, there are other places and ways where you can trace cell phone numbers to their owners.
Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service
One of the most obvious ways is by using search engines. The Internet has many search engines available. We have Google, Yahoo, and so many more. If the person you are looking for posted his number on the Internet, then you are in luck. Just a single search and you would be able to find what you are looking for. Your anonymous caller could have posted his personal phone number online; if he did, then you can keep the information and use it in the future. It can come in handy, should the same number call you. The moment he or she does, you can report it to the authorities and the prankster can be reprimanded by the police for doing that. The only thing here is that you will have to hope the number appears online in a search engine. If it does not, then you try the second method.
If the number you are trying to trace did not appear after searching it using search engines, you can go to the cellular phone network providers in your area. Considering a lot of providers could be available, be prepared for the worst because this option could prove to be tiring, and you probably might want to use reverse phone number listings after doing this. But on the good side, in the end, you will be able to get more accurate results. After all, what you did is search the cellular phone network itself, right? What could be more complete than the network itself?

However, one problem that could arise is that you could be denied access to what you are looking for. Again, just a reminder, what you are basically looking for is information that is private, information that is not supposed to be given out to anyone without the owner's permission.
By presenting the two other options for searching numbers without using reverse phone number listings online, it is clear to see that the success rate is not really that high. We can have all the patience and strength in the world, but the possibility of failing to find what we are looking for is still high. And why trouble ourselves too much, when in fact, there are reverse phone number listings available wherein you just type in the number and the result is obtained right away?

Find Out Who a Phone Number Belongs to

There are several free and easy options online. One of the first things you can do is to use a search engine such as Google. This will help you if you have no idea where the phone call is coming from and it will help you determine if the phone call is coming from a telemarketer or business. People online often experience the same exact calls and frequently comment on forums and webpages about it. When it comes to individual cell phones, it is not very useful.

Nokia Dropping Symbian in its N-Series?

Despite Nokia's resolute commitment to the Symbain platform, it seems that Maemo might be the future operating for its N-Series. In a Q&A with bloggers during the official N90 meet-up recently, it was revealed that by 2012 Maemo will replace Symbian in their N-Series mobiles. In a roundabout manner, Nokia has neither confirmed nor denied this. While it is certainly less of a leap than an official Android-based Nokia phone, considering that both Maemo and Symbain are Nokia technologies, this is still a pretty big deal. Nokia has on many occasions reaffirmed its commitment to Symbian, and continues to develop it. Both Maemo and Symbian will hold a place in Nokia's court, and Maemo's is steadily increasing. Nokia will continue to create tools for developing for both platforms, and in fact the upcoming versions of its Qt multi-platform GUI development toolkit will add support for both devices. While Qt 4.6 supports developing applications for Symbian, a technical preview of Qt for Maemo 5 is available. This stand to hugely simplify development for mobile platforms, as applications developed for Maemo can also be deployed to Symbian. Nokia N900 has now be acknowledged to be 'bridge' device connecting its current Symbian-based N-Series devices to the Maemo powered ones to come.

Nokia 6760 slides into India

The recently-released Nokia ‘Surge’ for the US-based AT&T network made quite a few heads turn. The Finnish company has now repackaged the device and launched it in the Indian market under the name of ‘Nokia 6760 Slide’. The 123-gm handset sports a 2.4-inch TFT screen that displays 16 million colours at 320x240 pixels. The top also sports a 5-way joypad and the usual Nokia buttons, along with three multimedia keys. The concentration on multimedia, however, is a bit perplexing as the phone still comes with a 2.5-mm headphone jack. The stereo FM radio compatibility doesn’t really matter much then, right? The camera on the back is fitted with a 3.15-megapixel CMOS sensor. Although it can record QVGA video, there is no sign of an autofocus or LED flash for still images. Running on Symbian S60 v3.2, the device has 128MB of onboard memory, which can be expanded up to 8GB via a microSD card. For connectivity, the 6760 is equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB port and GPS and A-GPS. The phone does take care of its business clientele, though, as it comes with Quickoffice and PDF reader pre-installed. The 1500mAh battery claims a talk-time of five hours and a standby time of around 20 days.

Press: Nokia initiates charger exchange program

Nokia today initiated a charger exchange program, in which consumers owning certain Nokia-branded chargers manufactured by a third-party supplier are recommended to exchange these chargers for free replacements.
During a routine quality control process, Nokia identified a potential product quality issue with certain chargers manufactured by one of its third-party suppliers. The plastic covers of the affected chargers could come loose and separate, exposing the charger’s internal components and potentially posing an electrical shock hazard if certain internal components are touched while the charger is plugged into a live socket. Nokia is not aware of any incidents or injuries related to these chargers

Nokia 5730 gets reviewed once again

The folks at Tech Radar reviews the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic. If you have a min or two, head over to this post and read the review
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic has plenty of decent features that should make it very attractive, and it delivers an exceptional music performance. But overall it has a hybrid feel to it that helps make its design less than appealing.
Its bulkiness is a drawback unless you’re really taken with the idea of a QWERTY keyboard on a music-centred mobile. Pitched at a target market where it’s competing for attention against plenty of slick, well featured touchscreen smartphones, it’s unlikely to be a chart-topper.
